ABOUT LILA

I am a mother to a beautiful little girl. I have been intrigued by life behind a lens since I was a young child. I bought my first canon film camera from a thrift store at 11 years old and everything about the experience was so intriguing and rewarding. Years later I picked my camera back up and re-ignited my love for the craft. I began capturing more after my daughter was born because i wanted her to have endless photo books to comb through as an adult to remember her childhood through my eyes.I love capturing women in all phases of life as they are discovering themselves, starting businesses, families and everything in between. My greatest love in photography is documentary style and capturing the beauty that already exists so strongly without trying to produce a specific outcome. Especially for family photography, it brings me joy to follow a family and put their love into a physical form to remember forever. Collaborative creative journeys between my clients and I give me so much lust for my craft and engage me in challenges to grow and try new things.
